We are excited to announce the 2025 Bainbridge Island Poetry Awards, celebrating and honoring local poets that exemplify the talents and contributions of exceptional individuals in our community. We will be accepting nominations for and presenting awards for two prestigious titles.
POET OF THE YEAR: This prize will be awarded to a poet of exceptional merit and who elevates the craft and stirs the hearts and minds of readers in our community.
The NANCY REKOW MEMORIAL AWARD: This prize is awarded to honor those who following in the great footsteps of Nancy Rekow by inspiring, promoting, organizing, and educating our community in the art of poetry.
Recipients of these prizes will receive both a cash prize and trophy at a grand celebration in February 2026. Nominations for both prizes are open until December 31st. Cast your votes today!
